Waiting on Wednesday (24)
Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine to spotlight any upcoming releases you are eagerly anticipating!
Publication Date: 7th February 2012
I simply cannot wait for this new dystopian – I’ll admit, the synopsis keeps it fairly vague, and it sounds like your typical dystopian YA, but hey – I love dystopian YA!!! What’s really got me excited about this one is all the 5 star reviews it’s already got on Goodreads – in fact, its pretty much all 5 star reviews from those lucky enough to have gotten their hands on an ARC. Not so impressed by the covers though, the one that will be released over here is the pink and white design (I think) which looks plain awkward to me, and the blue’s not much better. Pretty safe and bland. Still – never judge a book by it’s cover!
‘Aria is a teenager in the enclosed city of Reverie. Like all Dwellers, she spends her time with friends in virtual environments, called Realms, accessed through an eyepiece called a Smarteye. Aria enjoys the Realms and the easy life in Reverie. When she is forced out of the pod for a crime she did not commit, she believes her death is imminent. The outside world is known as The Death Shop, with danger in every direction.
As an Outsider, Perry has always known hunger, vicious predators, and violent energy storms from the swirling electrified atmosphere called the Aether. A bit of an outcast even among his hunting tribe, Perry withstands these daily tests with his exceptional abilities, as he is gifted with powerful senses that enable him to scent danger, food and even human emotions.
They come together reluctantly, for Aria must depend on Perry, whom she considers abarbarian, to help her get back to Reverie, while Perry needs Aria to help unravel the mystery of his beloved nephew’s abduction by the Dwellers. Together they embark on a journey challenged as much by their prejudices as by encounters with cannibals and wolves. But to their surprise, Aria and Perry forge an unlikely love – one that will forever change the fate of all who live UNDER THE NEVER SKY’

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog

Your blog is awesome! I couldn’t figure out how to use WordPress! (That’s why I’m so jealous!) So I switched to Blogger
You definitely need to read Unearthly!
I remember hearing about this book a few months ago and I’m intrigued!!
Thank you!
It took me a little while but WordPress is so easy once you’ve gotten used to it
Unearthly is on my Christmas list so hopefully I’ll get round to it soon!
AMAZING pick. I’ve wanted this one before it even had a cover!
Here’s my WoW
I’m so excited for this one too! I like the pinkish cover better better than the final one…

I’m a total dystopian lover too!! And I know what you mean when you say that seeing all those lucky people rate it five stars only makes us so much more anxiously excited to read it!
I think I like the blue cover a little bit better than the other one, though!
Awesome pick for your WOW, Amy!
I had not seen the white and pink cover before, but I think the blue is slightly better. I actually got an ARC of this already, and can’t wait to get started on it!:)
I have this from netgalley, but for some reason haven’t started it yet. I think it’s probably because of the vagueness you mentioned…what’s it even about?
Hopefully it’s as good as the buzz is making it out to be, though!
This is one that I want to read as well. I agree about the covers–they’re not really very eye catching, but I’m sure it’s a good book
This one has been in my TBR list for a while, Love both covers!
Thanks for stopping by!
I got this one at Comic Con a few weeks ago. veronica rossi was so nice. She even signed my ARC. Come check out what I picked for my WOW.

Yeah, the covers are fairly unfortunate. But I’m super excited nonetheless! Thanks for stopping by!
I definitely need to check this one out! Looks great! Not sure about the UK cover…the colors seem a bit off and I agree, they look alittle awkward! But the 5-star reviews are what will sell me on this one, though!
such a cool concept!
